Patriotic Fourth of July Nail Art

I was inspired to create a patriotic nail art design for the Fourth of July.  This design was mostly done freehand and I love how it turned out!  I started out with two Pink Gellac colors – Lipstick Red and Cobalt Blue.  I painted a swoop of blue onto my nails and then filled the rest in with red and cured (two coats).  Then I took a nail art striping brush and painted on the white and silver stripes, and used a dotter to add the small white dots.  The white and silver gel polishes are actually nail art gels from Presto.

The ring finger nail has a Pink Gellac Cobalt Blue base and I used a star stencil from www.glammymani.com to make the star (they have a bunch of cute shapes!).  I put the stencil onto the blue layer after wiping off the tackiness, and then brushed on some of the Presto silver polish (called Chiarezza).  I took my Pink Gellac holographic silver glitter spray and spritzed some glitter onto the polish while it was still wet.  I removed the stencil and then cured the layer before adding my top coat.
